This piece began with an idea in one of my old sketchbooks that eventually found its way onto metal. What started as a simple drawing became a study of one of the most important tools in my creative process—the spray can.
I use spray paint in almost every piece I create. The layers, the overspray, the imperfections, and the energy it creates have all become part of my artistic language.
“Spray Can 1” is more than a painting of a spray can. It’s a tribute to the tool behind so much of my work—the tool that helps turn an idea into something real.
Built on metal with layered mixed media, this piece reflects the raw, colorful, and sometimes unpredictable process behind my art.
