“Fruit Stripe”

16 X 27

Mixed Media on Metal (2024)

“Fruit Stripe” is named after the Fruit Stripe gum. The gum was launched in the early 1960s and discontinued in 2024 after over 50 years. The gum's brightly colored sticks and zebra-striped wrappers that also doubled as temporary tattoos of the brand's mascot. This was my gum of choice growing up as a kid. This piece was painted using acrylic ink, markers, spray paint, cleared with resin and finished with a custom frame.
